There are a great many men and women who have forever influenced and changed the course of Christian history, but one might ask whether any have made such a profound impact as Saint Paul the Apostle.

It is through the ardent work of Paul that we know the path to Salvation, one which leads us and binds us to God through the love of Christ.

When Jesus revealed himself directly to Paul and called Paul into his service that set Paul apart from other disciples who had come into the faith since the crucifixion.

Paul was not merely chosen to be a disciple, he had been appointed by Jesus himself.

The Life and Prayers of Saint Paul eBook Wyatt North

I just finished rereading all of the books in the bible written by/written about Paul. This Wyatt North book is well written and informative. It is not what I expected. Many parts contained information not included in my CEB bible, and that was confusing to me. However, I am glad I read this book because the time frame followed normal sequence. Bible books jump all over and do not follow chronological sequence. I would have liked to read about Paul's prayers instead of prayers to Paul. While I found this a good read, it left me wanting more.

The Life and Prayers of Saint Paul eBook Wyatt North Reviews

So far, all the Wyatt North books in this series have been concise, comprehensive and focused on the target person. They seem to be well researched and the compendium at the back of the book is most helpful. I can't help but notice some editing issues, but that seems to be normal in editions. I very much appreciate the dedication of the persons who are assembling and offering these biographies and I hope to read the entire series. I also would like them in physical form for future reference.
This book is a great read, St.Paul is one of the most important Saints in the Christian Churches. The book traces his itinery through Asia Minor to spread the Gospel. He had a perfect grasp of the message and teachings of Jesus, and he was able to put them across to us in a very understandable fashion. I enjoyed this book very much, as I have a great admiration for St.Paul. The book also contains prayers to the Saint. It is well worth a read by all Christians, as St. Paul is the most perfect advocate of Christianity, in my humble opinion. This series of books is fantastic, as they make us familiar with the Saints of Christianity, who are very familiar and admired by us. Padraic Kennedy
There's not much here that can't be found in the Bible, except for the rampant speculation based upon the rampant speculation of "scholars." I found many of the arguments arbitrarily baseless. I prefer the historical accounts from the Bible.
This book reads like a (fairly young) student's paper, and it's about as well-informed. This author doesn't seem to take Scripture particularly seriously, and also relies on opinions of scholars who don't . This is not what I would call informed by a biblical spirit. Additionally, non-Catholics will find the prayers TO St. Paul offensive.
I was clearly able to have a much better understanding of this great saint. Though there are conflicts in his life story, those conflicts are explained and why.
The reading at times was difficult to follow and even though I needed to look up some words, for definition purposes, I was still able to follow thru the book.
I wish a little more was discussed about his beheading and resurrection. It was briefly described. Though maybe little information is available to begin with.
Wyatt-North has done it again with this wonderful, new ebook abut "The Life and Prayers of Saint Paul the Apostle. St Paul is one of the most influential Apostles of the Bible, but knowledge of all that he was and continues to be today cannot be expounded upon in our Bibles (only a few, powerful books). However, this wonderful book does focus on Paul's influence in the Christian world after he met Jesus on the road to Damascus. He went from being a powerful Roman to being a powerful, but humble, instrument to spread the Word of Jesus Christ to the non-Jewish population. He was a well-educated man, a tent maker, and worked at anything that would give him an opportunity to witness to people about Jesus Christ. He was tortured, jailed, thrown in prison, beaten, shipwrecked and harassed on a regular basis, but he never gave up spreading the Word until his death. What a wonderful example of what one God-led man can do that has (and still does today) influenced millions of people throughout the history of Christianity. We need more modern-day Apostles like Paul who count themselves blessed to "suffer" for spreading the Word of Jesus Christ.
Written from the perspective that Scripture has errors, this book was a complete disappointment. I expected that the life of Paul would have been based on Scripture references, but instead it was based on conjecture. Then, I thought I would get to read a compendium of Paul's prayers. Wrong again. They were prayers written TO Paul. Who cares about them? Re name the book "My Opinion of the Life of St Paul and Prayers to Him."
